We are a German-Dutch expatriate couple and have made it our mission to provide German Caribbean friends with a perfect stay on the beautiful island of Curaçao. We are Thera and Nils. Together we are the Goodlife’s.
Our experience has shown us that personal contact with our guests is very important. That is why we have decided to keep our website simple and clear. In a personal conversation via WhatsApp or email, we can directly clarify the most important questions, analyse your wishes and of course get to know each other.

We have a lot to recommend you on our beautiful island, but there is one thing we would advise against.
A package holiday in an all-inclusive hotel without a car!!! This option is a lot more expensive than individual planning, does not do justice to adventurous Curaçao and will certainly not make you as happy as you could be.

Experience Curaçao!
To be certain of something, we humans always like to gather a lot of information and form a certain picture in advance. Even more so when we set out on new paths. We would like to pick you up right there and take you by the hand, if we may. Before we planned our first holiday to Curaçao in 2017, we felt the same way.
Curaçao is ‘different’. Curaçao is a colourful mix of the best from around the world. This means that our mentality here is very tolerant and world-open. Everyone is welcome here. The people here are very open-hearted, friendly and willing to help. This means that you can get in touch very quickly, if you want to.
Unlike many other Caribbean islands, we have a European standard here. For example, we get better drinking water from the tap here than in Europe. We are supplied with the best food from Europe, America and South America. We have a very low crime rate and as a tourist you can move freely anywhere on the island without having to worry.
Curaçao is a small island? Geographically, this is true, but there is a lot to experience here. Besides 37 beaches with turquoise-blue water, we have a huge range of excursions and activities. Let’s list a few for you:
Snorkelling, scuba diving, jet skiing, boat trips, canoe tours, hiking, climbing, nature parks, skydiving, kite surfing, dolphin swimming, quad tours, Harley tours, museums, old country houses, spas and beauty salons and of course numerous restaurants, bars and clubs with the Caribbean flair.
Whether you are a spry pensioner, a sportsman, a spiritual person, a culture enthusiast, a party-goer, a diver, a couple in love or a young family, everyone who loves positive energy, sun, sea and beaches is in good hands on Curaçao. There is something here for everyone to make them happy.
But in the end you really have to experience it for yourself. We like to think back to our first day on Curaçao, which we spent at Blue Bay Beach. With around 30 degrees and a light breeze, under palm trees on the beach lounger, with a cocktail in hand and an indescribable view over the powder-fine sandy beach to the turquoise ocean. Magical!

CuraVida Island Tour
For our German vacation guests who reach us by cruise ship, we offer a fantastic island tour.
We start at 10 a.m. directly at the pier in front of the white pavilions. There we board our American school bus, which drives us around the island in style.
The first stop is in Otrabanda (Willemstad), in the local Kaya Kaya district to be precise. It is known for its colorful houses, paintings and artistic exhibitions. We will take a short morning walk to see part of it and will certainly be able to take one or two nice photos.
The next stop is the Chobolobo country house. There we visit the famous Curaçao liqueur factory (Blue Curaçao) and learn about the history and production of the tasty liqueur. Of course, we are also allowed to test it.
Now it’s off to the west of the island, but first we say hello to the wild flamingos in the inland waters before numerous water turtles are waiting for us at Playa Piskado. On this beach it is possible to watch the turtles from the jetty or even swim or snorkel with them. A unique experience as these wonderful animals are anything but shy. There is no danger, but touching is prohibited.
After this experience, it’s time for a little refreshment. At the Playa Forti restaurant, which is known for its 13-meter cliff, where daring jumpers seek an adrenaline rush every day, reserved seats with a fantastic view are already waiting for us.
After the lunch break, we will head to our most beautiful and best-known natural beach, the “Grote Knip”, where we will enjoy the crystal-clear turquoise sea and try to stop time for you for a brief moment.
After the swim, we head back towards the pier. We have filled a day with the most beautiful things Curaçao has to offer and in the evening we have the opportunity to explore Willemstad (Punda) on our own.
The tour starts at 10 am and ends around 6 pm.
