My name is Nils, I am 40 years old and originally from Aachen (North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany). I have been living in Curaçao for 5 years now. CuraVida was founded in 2021 as a small business on Curaçao. Today, CuraVida is well known for our island tours for cruise ship guests.

CuraVida Island Tour

For our German vacation guests who reach us by cruise ship, we offer a fantastic island tour.

We start at 10 a.m. directly at the pier in front of the white pavilions. There we board our American school bus, which drives us around the island in style.

The first stop is in Otrabanda (Willemstad), in the local Kaya Kaya district to be precise. It is known for its colorful houses, paintings and artistic exhibitions. We will take a short morning walk to see part of it and will certainly be able to take one or two nice photos.

The next stop is the Chobolobo country house. There we visit the famous Curaçao liqueur factory (Blue Curaçao) and learn about the history and production of the tasty liqueur. Of course, we are also allowed to test it.

Now it’s off to the west of the island, but first we say hello to the wild flamingos in the inland waters before numerous water turtles are waiting for us at Playa Piskado. On this beach it is possible to watch the turtles from the jetty or even swim or snorkel with them. A unique experience as these wonderful animals are anything but shy. There is no danger, but touching is prohibited.

After this experience, it’s time for a little refreshment. At the Playa Forti restaurant, which is known for its 13-meter cliff, where daring jumpers seek an adrenaline rush every day, reserved seats with a fantastic view are already waiting for us.

After the lunch break, we will head to our most beautiful and best-known natural beach, the “Grote Knip”, where we will enjoy the crystal-clear turquoise sea and try to stop time for you for a brief moment.

After the swim, we head back towards the pier. We have filled a day with the most beautiful things Curaçao has to offer and in the evening we have the opportunity to explore Willemstad (Punda) on our own.

The tour starts at 10 am and ends around 6 pm.
